About us

Who’s behind Viña Moraima

We are a small group of winemakers from families who have traditionally grown vines and produced wine. In 2006 we decided to get together as a cooperative. Combining commitment and enthusiasm, our aim to preserve the vineyards on our own lands, inherited from our ancestors, continue with their work and produce wines that bring us closer to our tradition but whilst employing the latest technologies.

Our winery

Viña Moraima S.Coop.Galega

Our winery is in the municipality of Barro in Alto Salnés, province of Pontevedra, Galicia, NW of Spain. The area forms part of the D.O. Rías Baixas.

Our vineyards

The Treasure of Viña Moraima

Geologically speaking, we are in the Dorsal Meridiana (a mountain range crossing Galicia from North to South), on the slopes of the O Salnés Valley. Our vineyards are exposed to the influences of the Atlantic Ocean and this is perfectly identifiable in our wines.
